YouTube Wednesday…Monica Rial, the voice of your childhood has a YouTube channel!

Hello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘YouTube Wednesday’ we’re going to discuss an AMAZING voice actress who I’m sure you’ve all heard in your favorite anime & video games (I mean she’s worked steadily ever since 1999 so you’ve heard her voice whether you realize it or not), Monica Rial. Some of Monica’s more notable work includes roles in: Dragon Ball Z Kai, My Hero Academia,  Excel Saga, Full  Metal Panic, Fullmetal Alchemist, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ghost Stories, Air, Ouran High School Host Club, Fairy Tail, Yona of The Dawn, Yuri On ice, Case Closed : The Mirapolis Investigation, Borderlands 2, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadow of Valentia, and so much more (oh and on a side note you should seriously check her work out because it’s always AWESOME)! In January of 2018 Monica gave us an amazing gift, she started a YouTube channel! If you have ever dreamed of becoming a voice actor, or just want to know more about the business then this is the channel for you! Not convinced? Then let’s check out the videos. Ready? Ok, let’s go!!!

The 1st video that we’re going to discuss is Monica’s `Here’s the big announcement…or three!`, which was uploaded on January 6th, 2018. This video just explains some of the particulars of this YouTube channel & Monica’s Pateron page. I included this video because it’s a good introduction to this YouTube channel, as well as the bubbly, fun personality we’ve seen from Monic in interviews. Also the more Monica Rial we can get the better right? Right! Next up we have her ‘How do I become a voice actor’ video, which was uploaded on January 10th, 2018 (you can check out this video below). This is a really good & informative video for anyone who dreams of becoming a voice actor. In this video Monica speaks briefly about demos, taking acting classes, & building up a resume of experience within the craft. If this is something that you’re interested in then who better to get advice from than one of the queens of the voice acting world!

The next video we’re going to talk about is her ‘How do you come up with all those voices?!’ video, which was uploaded on February 1st, 2018. Personally this is one of my favorite videos on Monica’s channel because it gives you a very in depth look at how to produce multiple voice out of just your one voice! In this video Monica talks about how to place your voice in different parts of you body to get different sounds, pitch, rhythm of a character’s voice, ascents and do much more. Honestly watching this video feels like taking a short class from Monica, so I HIGHLY recommend you all check it out. The last video we’re going to talk about is her ‘Conventions!’ video which was uploaded on March 5th, 2018 (you can check out this video below). This video explains how you can possibly  get your favorite voice actors at your local conventions, as well as the differences between anime conventions & Comic-Cons as it relates to voice actors, why voice actors have to charge for autograph signings at certain events, & what voice actors have to consider before  they commit to a convention. This is such an interesting video, that really gives us a unique insight into a side of the life of a voice actor that we never usually consider. So now know that you know how AMAZING Monica’s channel is you gotta check it out. Right? Right!
