Hello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘Monday Memos’ we are going to discuss two AMAZING YouTube video that we couldn’t stop talking about over the last 2 weeks. If you were young (or just loved Nickelodeon) between 1994 and 2008, then get ready for a major dose of Nostalgia as the internet reminds us of two shows that we couldn’t get enough of, All That and Zoey 101. Whether you grew up with one or both of these shows (or you became a fan after watching reruns of the shows), you will FREAK OUT when you see the two videos below. So now get ready to get hit right in the feels with a nostalgia brick. Ready? Ok, let’s go!!!
So let’s start things off with the first video that made us have serious flashbacks to 2005. YouTube was only 1 year old, the 1st iPhone wouldn’t be released for 2 years, but we all had 1 serious question on our mind. What did Zoey say about Chase in that DVD she hid in the time capsule. For a lot of people, Zoey and Chase were their 1st ship and since we knew that he liked her, we just needed to know how she felt, for our ship to sail. Unfortunately this would be a question that we wouldn’t know for 10 YEARS! Well our patience paid off because on September 18th we found out the answer. Now I’m sure most of you know what this means, but if you don’t please check out the video below, and let the fanfiction writing begin.
Now moving on, I think we can all agree that Jimmy Fallon is awesome. He’s funny, creative, and he understands our love of the internet and includes it in his show (seriously if you haven’t already, you gotta check out some of his whisper challenge video). But every entertainer usually has to have a day job before they get that “big break”, usually they work as waiters, employees at stores in the mall, or even at your local favorite burger place. In fact we recently found out that Jimmy Fallon used to work at a VERY famous burger place that holds a special place in all of our hearts, and will forever be a part of the history of the food industry. Can you guess where? Yup, GOOD BURGER! That’s what you guessed right? Yes, Jimmy Fallon had everyone who was a kid in the late 80’s and basically most of the 90’s FREAKING out when he brought back our fav comedic duo Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell for a Good Burger skit. As you can guess it was really hilarious, but if for some reason you haven’t checked out the video yet (or just want to see it again), please check out the video below.

Hello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘YouTube Wednesday’ we are going to discuss an awesome YouTube channel that I couldn’t wait to share with y’all. I recently starting watching an AMAZING new YouTube channel called Mixed Makeup that launched on May 1st of this year, and is definitely going to become a channel that you will all be VERY familiar with soon. Mixed Makeup was co-founded by Susan Yara (whose résumé includes: beauty reporting and video producing for ‘People’ and ‘New Beauty’ magazine, ‘TotalBeauty.com’, and ‘PopSugarTV.com’. The channel features numerous fun and knowledgeable beauty/fashion/DIY (Do It Yourself Projects) experts, who you will become completely obsessed with. So if you like beauty, fashion, home décor, and DIYs, then please allow me to introduce you to the channel that you will spend ALL your free time watching.
The first video that we are going to discuss is the ‘DIY Painted Ombre Side Table’ video (#PrettyLittleProjects featuring Caitlin and Caitlin Design Co.), which is the first video in the ‘#PrettyLittleProjects’ series, which was uploaded on May 1st, 2014. This video shows how to take any piece of furniture, and repaint it to create a really cool pink ombre look, that is the perfect finishing touch to spice up any room. I really like this video because it not only shows you exactly how to complete the DIY (the video shows how to sand the furniture, paint, etc., but it does this in a way that is concise, and entertaining. Caitlin and Caitlin (both of the hosts of this series have the same first name), are really entertaining, funny, and able to make you feel like you’re doing a project with one of your friends. I also really loved that they pick ombre instead of just pink, because I feel like this tutorial will make your furniture have a cool flair and stand out more than the colors you can buy from the store. I am REALLY excited to try out all of their DIYs, and after you watch their videos, you will be too. Next up we’re going to talk about the ‘How To Get Radiant Skin with Catt Sadler’ video (, which is a video in ‘The CattWalk’ series, and was uploaded on June 19th, 2014. Many of you may recognize Catt Sadler form her work as an on-camera correspondent on ‘E! News’, ‘Live from the Red Carpet’ coverage for E!, and various other shows and specials on E!. I was really excited to see that she had a series on ‘Mixed Makeup’, because if you’ve ever watched any of Catt’s work, then you know that she is incredibly knowledgeable, witty, and very fun to watch. In this tutorial Catt and makeup artist Maria Vargas show you how to achieve a flawless makeup look, that will give off the appearance of radiant, well-rested skin. I really enjoyed that this is an achievable look, that isn’t very difficult for the average viewer to replicate. A lot of the products used in the video are projects that most viewers either already own, or are at your fav makeup store (so now you know what to ask Santa to get you for Christmas).
Next up we have the ‘5 Minute Full Body Workout: Bear Squat, Plank, Spiderman, Bear Reach’ video, which is a part of the ‘Best Body Anywhere with The Studio (MDR)’ (5 Minute Full Body Power Workout: Bear Squat, Plank, Spiderman, Bear Reach | Best Body Anywhere), which was uploaded on August 6th, 2014. I thought that this was a great video to discuss with y’all because turkey day is approaching very quickly. Now let’s be honest…nobody diets on Thanksgiving, it’s just wrong (oh you know you sneak another slice of pie when no one is watching…its ok, #noshame). So if you eat 2 times your body weight over the holiday season, but still want to fit into all those cute clothes that you will buy on Black Friday, then these ideas are perfect for you. I love that all of the videos are high impact workouts that you can literally do during the commercial breaks while you’re watching your favorite TV show (or will you’re watching our newest BFF Catt on E! News). I mean c’mon, no matter how many times we say we’re “too busy” to work out, you can spend 5 minute of your Netflix time to work out…then eat pizza while tweeting during your ‘Pretty Little liars’ marathon (because 5 minutes of working out works off 5 slices of pizza right? Dare to dream people of the internet). But seriously, I really like that these videos are perfect for someone with a buy work/school schedule, who also wants to get a small workout in, or doesn’t want to go to a gym every day. The last video that we’re going to discuss is one of my favorite YouTube videos ever, because I feel like the concept is so cool and unique. This video entitled ‘Old Hollywood Black and White Makeup Tutorial of Merle Oberon’ (Old Hollywood Black and White Makeup Tutorial of Merle Oberon | Troy Jensen Iconic Makeover) was uploaded on October 10th, 2014. This tutorial shows the process that celebrity makeup artist and photographer goes through in order to give Susan Yara a look inspired by 1920s/1930s inspired by ‘Wuthering Heights’ actress Merle Oberon. I really loved this video because it shows you how to achieve a very authentic “classic Hollywood” look, that will help you achieve some AWESOME black & white selfies. This look is also perfect as part of a Halloween costume, and will definitely give you a very cool and unique costume that isn’t impossible to achieve (so you don’t have to cut holes in a sheet like Charlie Brown…not that I’ve ever done that…). I honestly cannot talk enough about how beautiful and elegant this look is, it will honestly make you feel like a part of Hollywood royalty (and you will be the queen of the selfies if you upload a picture of this look on Instagram!).

Hello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘YouTube Wednesday’ we are going to discuss an AMAZING new YouTube musician that you all need to check out. This amazingly talented guy has been posting videos on YouTube since 2007, and is definitely one of the internet’s best kept secrets. Whether you like R&B, Pop, Rock music, or anything in between, then you WILL find a song that you love on his channel. Who am I talking about? Well if the name Leroy Sanchez does not ring a bell then y’all need to get on YouTube ASAP and check out his awesome voice (well finish reading this post and then hop on over to YouTube, ok? Ok.). So let’s dive into the blog post and discuss a little bit of Leroy’s backstory, and some of his covers that I know y’all will love (hey 385,791 subscribers can’t be wrong right?). Also, please check out Leroy’s debut single ‘Little Dancer is out NOW, and his debut album is expected to drop soon so check out Leroy’s social media accounts and/or check back here to stay updated.
Leroy Sanchez grew up in Vitoria, Spain, and according to his website has always been a singer. Because of Leroy’s love for music, he decided to cultivate his teaching himself to play the guitar and sing at a very young age. Leroy steadily grew his audience, and in 2010 (3 years after he uploaded his first video), he grabbed the attention of Grammy Award winning producer Jim Jonsin (who has previously worked with, etc.). Leroy then went to Miami for a week to work with Jim, and after staying there for a few months, Leroy was signed to Jim’s Rebel Rock label (in partnership with Interscope Records). Leroy has also shown that he is not only an extremely talented artist, but also has a very giving nature, by volunteering with the organization CoachArt (which provides chronically ill children free lessons in the arts and various sports).
The first cover we’re going to talk about is the first cover on Leroy’s channel, which is a duet of ‘Breaking Free’ from High School Musical that he uploaded on January 19th, 2007. I really loved this cover because not every artist can perform a duet as well as they can sing solo, and Leroy proves early on that he can. Based off of this cover, I am VERY excited to see the other artist that Leroy could collaborate with in the future, but I’m getting ahead of myself here. I’ve heard a lot of covers of this song on YouTube ever since High School Musical first premiered, and I have to say that this is one of my favs. What I really love about this cover is that Leroy sounds AMAZING on this cover, but in the video he is very nervous and looks a bit unsure of his talent. Honestly there is something really charming about someone who is awesome and doesn’t know it. So please click here (breaking free live leroy and elena) and check out this incredible cover that you will have on repeat all day. The next cover we are going to discuss is Leroy’s cover of ‘Bleeding Love’ by Leona Lewis, which was uploaded on December 22nd, 2009. Honestly, this is an INCREDIBLY difficult song to sing because it requires being able to perform and properly control a lot of super hard notes, as well as your breathing. On top of this, you have to properly deliver the emotion behind the song, so needless to say, not everyone can do this. But Leroy does not disappoint us, and performs this song with ease. If you watch this video and compare it to his first one, you can see A LOT of improvement, which shows just how dedicated and passionate Leroy is about his craft (you can check out the awesome video right here Bleeding love by Leona Lewis (Requested song).
The next video that we’re going to talk about is Leroy’s cover (which was uploaded on February 1st, 2012) of R&B singer’s version of the song ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ (which was originally released by country singer Bonnie Raitt). I really enjoyed this cover because I felt like it showed just how much diversity Leroy’s voice has. Even though he did covers of R&B songs on his channel before this, ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ was originally a country song with blues influences, so it’s cool to see these influences in Leroy’s voice. I really love when an artist shows that they are comfortable in various genres of music, because it shows just how deep their love for music in general is, and ultimately makes their solo projects more interesting because of all of the various influences that sneak into the songs. Just like ‘Bleeding Love’, this is also another song that can’t be sung correctly if the artist does not properly connect with the emotions of the lyrics. If you haven’t checked out this cover, click here ( Can’t Make You Love Me – Bonnie Raitt (Tank’s version) by Leroy). There are a lot of other really awesome covers that y’all should check out (trust me once you get to his channel you will want to listen to all of his covers on repeat)! The finally video that we are going to discuss is Leroy’s official music video for his debut single ‘Little Dancer’ (which was uploaded on April 29th, 2014, and you can check out here Leroy Sanchez – Little Dancer). I really feel like this is a really cool debut single for Leroy because the song is an emotional ballad that has a really inspirational message about following your dreams. The song tells the story of a young girl who dreams of becoming a dancer, but allows obstacles and fear to stand in her way. I think that this is definitely a message that we can all relate to, and the video is extremely well shot. This video really makes me excited to see what other songs and videos that Leroy will release in the future! So as I’m sure y’all have already figured out, Leroy Sanchez is an artist on the rise that you don’t want to miss out on!
All photos and information used in this blog belong to Leroy Sanchez, YouTube, VEVO, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, SoundCloud, Tumblr, ITunes, Google +, the city of Vitoria, the country of Spain, Jim Jonsin, Rebel Rock, Interscope Records, Beyoncé, Lil Wayne, Usher, T.I., CoachArt, Leona Lewis, Syco Records, High School Musical, Elena, Disney Channel, Bonnie Raitt, Tank, bardotmiami.com, and all other original owners. Hello people of the Internet!!! On today’s ‘YouTube Wednesday’ we are going to discuss Molly Bailey (aka missmollyanne14), the final member of ‘Behind the Beauty’, the new collab channel that I’m sure you’re all subscribed to by now (if you’re not here’s a link ). Molly is a very successful beauty/fashion guru whose channel currently has 120,467 subscribers (as of October 12th, 2014) and 4,827,417 total views (as of October 12th, 2014). If you love YouTubers who are witty, knowledgeable, and very interesting and funny then you definitely need to check out Molly’s channel. So let’s jump into the blog!
The first video that is currently on Molly’s channel was uploaded on January 14th, 2013, is entitled ‘What’s n My Purse’ (What’s In My Purse? ). I really really loved this video because you were able to get a really good idea of Molly’s personality, and what the vibe of her channel is. I love it when YouTubers are really open and honest with their viewers by allowing their real personalities to shine through. Molly seems like a really fun, bubbly, and interesting person to watch, which will make viewers continue to flock to her channel. I also didn’t feel like she was too awkward or stiff in this video (like some YouTubers are, but I mean c’mon cameras do take some time to get used to). Once I saw this video I immediately wanted to watch the rest, because you know that if Molly was able to get off to such a great start, then the rest of her videos are just going to be absolutely AMAZING. The next video that we are going to discuss is Molly’s ‘Fall/Winter Collective Haul!’ (Fall/Early Winter Collective Haul! Kate Spade, Target, Forever 21 – YouTube), which was uploaded on November 13th, 2013. I decided to talk to y’all about this video because the items in the haul were really really cute, and as you all know I love haul videos (I mean you get to shop without spending money what could be better than that!?!). Honestly I usually decide on which YouTubers I love to watch based off of their ability to make a good haul video…and Molly definitely didn’t disappoint. What I really enjoyed about this video, is that Molly showed items that were all very different style wise, which I personally loved because all of her viewers will most likely find something that fits their individual style. I also really loved that she engaged her viewers by asking them to leave comments on the video about what they thought of the things she bought, and how they would style certain things.
Next up we have Molly’s ‘Healthy Habits: 3 of My Go To Recipes for Breakfast’ (Healthy Habits: 3 of My Go To Recipes for Breakfast – YouTube), which was uploaded on July 7th, 2014. I thought that y’all would like this video because it shows 3 really unique recipes that are healthy and also yummy. They are also not difficult to follow, so I basically everyone could try these recipes out (I mean I can follow the instructions and I burn cereal…I’m just kidding…well sort of). I know that all of y’all are super big foodies, so you gotta love a video that allows you to give into your cravings without feeling like you have to run 5,000 miles afterwards…everybody wins!!! The final video that we are going to talk about is Molly’s ‘My Everyday School Look: Hair, Makeup, & Outfit’ video which was uploaded on August 27th, 2014 (My Everyday School Look: Hair, Makeup, & Outfit – YouTube). Now honestly I wish I could discuss each of Molly’s videos with y’all but then I would have you here reading this blog for months, and let’s be real, candy crush is not going to beat itself right? Right! So I choose 1 last video that I thought y’all would love! I thought that this was a cool video to feature because the hair, makeup, and outfit looks are really simple to replicate, and thus perfect for school. If you’re anything like me you literally have about 5 minutes to get ready before you have to leave, so this video is the perfect aid to help you look like you put some effort in your appearance without actually having to put some effort into your appearance. The makeup look is really natural so you won’t have to worry about your principal or parents not approving, and the hair and outfit looks are easy enough to do daily without having to sacrifice the small amount of sleep you are able to get after watching YouTube videos all night…I mean studying math and stuff…don’t worry I won’t tell on you.

The first video on Cicily’s channel is a review of the ‘One n’ Only’ Argan Heat Ceramic Straightening Iron (Review: One n’ Only Argan Heat Ceramic Straightening Iron), and was uploaded on December 28th, 2011. I really enjoyed this video because it looked really professional, and even though Cicily looked a little nervous, you could definitely see her personality through the nerves, and her natural charisma in front of the camera instantly draws you in. She also did a really good job of talking about why she enjoyed this product, and why it is a good tool to invest in (I mean she made me want to give it a try). I think that this was a really good video to start off her channel, and it makes you look forward to her future videos. Ok, the next video that we are going to discuss is Cicily’s 2013 ‘Makeup and Clothing Haul’, (Makeup & Clothing HAUL | 2013 – YouTube) which was uploaded on April 10th, 2013. Now you all know how much I love haul videos so I was really excited to find this video. I really enjoyed this haul because it had a lot of really cool products and clothing items in it. I also liked that the stores mentioned in this haul are places where most viewers have access to, which is perfect for a fan that sees something in the haul that they would also like to purchase. My favorite part of this video was the fact that Cicily speaks to her viewers the same way that friends speak to one another. I really like it when YouTubers are so comfortable in front of a camera, that you forget that they’re not speaking to you in person. I think that this video definitely proves that in only a year, Cicily was able to grow A LOT as an on-camera talent.
The next video we are going to discuss is Cicily’s ‘Maybelline Baby Skin’ (Maybelline Baby Skin | 1st Impressions – YouTube), which was uploaded on January 14th, 2014. I really like it when YouTubers do first impression videos, because it really gives you an honest look at a product. Sometimes it can be hard to know if a product is really going to work or not based off of a commercial or review (unless the review comes from me, because I always tell y’all the truth). First impression videos allow us to see how a YouTuber feels about a product, as they first experience it. I think that videos like this really allow a viewer to be able to feel like they can trust Cicily when she says a product is good, and this level of trust will just make her fans love her more and more. The last video that we are going to talk about is her ‘Girl Talk Advice with Katelyn!’ video, which was uploaded on September 6th, 2014 (Girl Talk Advice with Katelyn! – YouTube). I really liked this video because you really get to see what a fun, upbeat personality Cicily has. The video is made up of questions that viewers sent in, and covers a wide range of topics such as: boys, beauty, friends, and everything in between. I thought that this video was a really cool addition to Cicily’s repertoire because it gives her viewers a chance to feel more connected with her, and feel like she’s just like one of their friends. I really feel like you can see in this video just how much Cicily has grown as a beauty/fashion guru. I am really impressed how she was able to cultivate her talent in 2 years, and go from a shy young girl with beauty smarts and a camera, to a confident YouTuber that is able to inspire and encourage her viewers to be beautiful inside and out. I am so excited to see where her career takes her, because she is certainly destined for great things both online and off.

Hello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘YouTube Wednesday’ we are going to discuss the new AwesomenessTV show ‘Life’s S.o. R.a.d.’, which centers around YouTube star Lia Marie Johnson (who we’ve previously featured on the blog, you can find the link to that post here YouTube Wednesday: Lia Marie Johnson, The next comedy genius/music star you need to know about | celindareyesblog) and Amanda Steele (aka MakeupbyMandy24). The show follows these two AWESOME youtubers as they help design AwesomenessTV’s ‘s.o. r.a.d.’ line which is now available at Kohl’s. The show is currently available on AwesomenessTV’s YouTube channel (which I’ll link at the bottom of the post), and is definitely a show that all YouTube fans will become addicted too. My favorite part of the show is seeing how these two very different girls were able to combine their styles and create a line that will appeal to all fashion lovers. In the rest of the post, we’ll talk about the show, and also discuss the line a little bit (which I suggest you all check out btw…trust me you’ll LOVE IT!). Also please check out YouTube stars/Island Records recording artists Cimorelli, whose new song ‘That Girl Should Be Me’ is the theme song to ‘Life’s S.o. R.a.d.’ (here’s a link to the official lyric video for the song That Girl Should Be Me Official Lyric Video – Cimorelli – YouTube). So are y’all ready? Let’s start!
Once I saw the ‘s.o. r.a.d.’ collection I instantly fell in love with SO MANY of the pieces. One of my fav pieces has to be the Teal Plaid Ponte Leggings; I absolutely love how these leggings incorporate the plaid trend, and also give you a fun staple piece that you can dress up and down in many different ways. With fall here and winter not far behind, I can definitely see these leggings as a great piece to wear if you’re hanging out at home (watching AwesomenessTV of course!), or hanging out with friends. Another piece that I really love is the Poorboy Ribbed Skimmer Crop Top. I love that the tops come in 6 really beautiful colors that I think will please everyone. Whether your style is edgy, girly, casual, or anything in between, you will want one (or all) of these tops. I also really love that the top is longer than a traditional crop top, which makes it perfect for fall/winter, but is also fitted enough to dress up any outfit. The final piece that I’m going to talk to y’all about is the Grandpa Cardigan. Now I promise that this cardigan will definitely NOT be something that you would find in your grandpa’s closet (but your grandma might steal it from you so be careful). This cardigan comes in three colors that are absolutely PERFECT for the fall/winter seasons. This cardigan also combines a fitted style with a comfortable fabric, which will help you dress up your look but still stay comfy (you gotta love it when beauty isn’t painful). I would definitely suggest that you all check out this AMAZING collection, because I know that you will find something (or lots of things) that you will instantly fall in love with (remember, it’s never too late to start your Christmas list…are you listening Santa?).
I really love this show because you get a cool sneak peek into what it’s Iike to design a clothing line. The show starts by showing a room tour of each girl’s personal bedroom, as they describe why these items help describe their personal styles. The following episodes show Amanda and Lia vintage shopping for ideas about the kinds of patterns and cuts they want for the pieces in the ‘s.o. r.a.d.’ collection, and lastly (at least for the episodes that are posted as of October 7th, 2014), they go through sketches of possible designs and give their input about how the sketches could be even more awesome. I really like that this series not only shows the process that Amanda and Lia went through to make the line, but also has the feel of the YouTube videos that made us fall in love with these girls in the first place. I think that it’s really cool that the line was designed by two girls that are not only fun and fashion forward, but also have very different styles. One of the things that made this line so cool to me is the diversity within it. Honestly there is something for EVERYONE, so no matter what your style is; you will still look so rad!

Hello people of the Internet!!! On today’s ‘YouTube Wednesday’ we are going to discuss a new collab channel on YouTube that you ALL need to subscribe to. This new channel (called Behind The Beauty, here’s a link to the channel ), is made up of 5 of the fastest rising YouTube stars who will give you lots of fun tips about how to look your best, feel your best, and have a lot of fun. We’ve already discussed two of the YouTubers on this channel (Beautybabe149, here’s the link: YouTube Wednesday: Beautybabe149, the next YouTube beauty/fashion queen has arrived | celindareyesblog and Kenzie Elizabeth here’s the link YouTube Wednesday: Kenzie Elizabeth…the guru who will help you feel beautiful inside and out | celindareyesblog). Since this AMAZING channel was launched last month (here’s a link to the channel’s trailer Behind the Beauty – YouTube), I thought that it would be fun to profile the other two amazing beauty gurus on this channel. So, for the next few YouTube Wednesdays, we are going to talk about each of these YouTubers so y’all can get a better idea of how awesome they are separately, and see exactly why ‘Behind The Beauty’ will soon become your fav channel. First up, we are going to discuss Madison Martine.
Madison Martine is an 18 year old actress, model, fashion blogger, and fashion/beauty/lifestyle guru. She began her blog at the age of 16, and in doing so was able to express herself through her love of fashion. Along with a very successful and popular blog site, Madison decided to further her talents as an entertainer by starting a YouTube channel. She uploaded her first video (a 20 Facts About Me video 20 Facts About Me – YouTube), on March 14th, 2013. I really loved this video because it tells the viewers a lot of fun facts about Madison, and also shows off her fun, laid-back personality. I would highly suggest checking out this video if you want to find out which celebrity Madison is obsessed with, what happened the first time she tried to drive, and what show caused her to be “unable to function” after it ended. The next video that we’re going to discuss is Madison’s ‘Summer Clothing Haul’ Summer Clothing Haul! H&M, Forever 21, & More! – YouTube, which was uploaded on July 8th, 2013. Now you guys know that I am OBESSED with hauls, so I am really excited to share this video with y’all. I really LOVED that Madison didn’t just show the clothes she bought, but also explained how she might style certain items. I also really liked that the clothes she had in the video were stylish, comfortable, but also something that viewers can go out and buy. I think that it’s really important for fashion/beauty gurus to show pieces in their videos that their viewers can have access to, and then add their own individual spin on. The next video that we are going to discuss is Madison’s ‘My Fall Makeup Routine’ video My Fall Makeup Routine! – YouTube, which was uploaded on October 12th, 2013. Even though this video was made for last fall, I thought that it would be one of the perfect videos to talk about with y’all since fall is here once again. I am a HUGE fan of wearing a natural makeup look as you “everyday makeup look”, because it’s simple to do if you have a busy schedule (or you’re just lazy like me because you stay up to late every night watching YouTube videos…anyways…moving on). I also loved that Madison showed her audience how to complete the look step by step, and made the tutorial very user friendly. I am honestly REALLY excited to try out this look, and I know all of you will too after seeing this video. The last video we are going to discuss is Madison’s ‘Healthy Back To School Lunch Ideas’ video which was uploaded on August 17th, 2014. I choose this video because I thought that it would be really helpful for everyone who goes to school and/or works, but also wants to stay healthy (or at least feel like you’re balancing out the pizza you ate last night while watching ‘The Voice’…its ok #nojudgment). I really loved the lunch options that Madison presented, because they were all lunches that I haven’t seen before in other videos, and they actually looked really delicious. I also appreciated that there were dessert options (because honestly who doesn’t love dessert!?!). I think that if you’re new to healthy eating, or just want to give it a try, then this video is definitely a good place to start. I give this video 5 smiley faces!
See told y’all she was an AWESOME YouTuber. Ok Ok, I know that after hearing about all of these awesome videos, you want to go check them out (and you really should) but while you do that, please remember to follow Madison on all of her social media sites (which will be below). Also please subscribe and spread the word about this AMAZING channel (and if you want to share the link to this post I won’t be mad at you). Make sure you check Monday-Friday for new videos on ‘Behind The Beauty’, and also check out Madison’s main channel for new videos.

Hello people of the internet on ‘Monday Memos’ we are going to discuss a YouTube video that as of 9/27/2014 has over 500,000 views (and it was uploaded on 9/8/2014, so that’s pretty impressive. This video was uploaded by a man named Prince EA, and is entitled ‘Why I Think This World Should End’ (here’s a link to the video Why I Think This World Should End – YouTube). Now before you jump to any conclusions, this is an inspiring, NOT DEPRESSING video (because honestly we go on the internet to get away from the depression life or situations can cause). If you’ve seen this video then you know why we have to talk about it, if you haven’t then please stay with me here, because you WILL want to know all about this video. And yes I know that YouTube videos are usually reserved for Wednesdays, but this blog goes beyond just talking about the video. Trust me you’ll love it (oh and if any of my former teachers see this post, I promise that I know that you aren’t suppose to start a sentence with and…just putting that out there in the universe). Ok on to the blog!!!
In this video Prince EA speaks about how the world has turned into a cruel, intolerant place, that just seems to be getting meaner and more negative as we become more technologically advanced. He included a really cool Robert Kennedy quote, that would be too long to include here, but basically says that even though not everyone will necessarily change the world on their own, if we all do small things to make a positive difference, then we can change the world together. When I saw this video I was instantly blown away because of how powerful and relatable this video is to our everyday lives. Honestly everyday people are bullied for the things that make them special and unique. Whether it’s how you act, what you enjoy doing, what you believe in, etc., you should and go have the right to be you. Unfortunately as technology and human curiosity has made the world a smaller and smaller place, meanness has also advanced. In the past few years, bullying and other tragedies in the world has gotten a lot of media attention. But if we stop and think about why, the answer is really sad. It seems that as more and more celebrities, young adults, teens, and get ready for it KIDS struggle with eating disorders, self-harm, suicide, and even murdering others, the topics of bullying, and the growth of unkindness in general begin to become more present in our lives. Now when I say “bullying” I don’t just mean hitting someone, or being mean to them in person or online every day. Even if you’re not targeting someone, you can still be a bully. How you ask? We’ll have you ever been mean or lashed out at someone because YOU were having a bad day? Well that mean word from you may be the 100th mean thing that person has heard that week or even that day. Eventually all this can make a person crack. Now even though having bad days or just being in a bad mood is natural, the best thing to do is talk to someone about it, because taking it out on someone else (whether you mean to or not) can just cause someone to hurt themselves, other people, or even you (I know I sound like a digital billboards d or something, but this is all true and VERY important). Recently Disney Channel has announced its’ ‘Choose Kindness’ campaign, where they will try to raise awareness of the effects of bullying through topics discussed on its’ shows, and most likely PSAs (which means public service announcements by its stars). The first two shows to take the lead in this campaign are the popular Disney shows ‘Girl Meets World’ and ‘Austin & Ally’ (which will show episodes where popular characters are bullied for being themselves, and their friends must help them deal work through it). I think that this is definitely a step in the right direction, because if we learn to be kind and positive at a young age, then maybe bullying will disappear or at least not be as bad and common as it is now.
As y’all can see, kindness is a little thing that can really make a big difference in the world (ok now I sound like a PBS special, but you get the point). If we could all just remember these world, “be kind to one another”, then I think that the world would be a happier place for everyone. BTW do you know what great philosopher said those words? Yes the one and only Ellen Degeneres (who said TV wasn’t educational!?!). So since we are a generation that loves challenges and tags, I challenge/tag all of you to share this video (and if you want to share the blog too, that would be awesome…just sayin’), and to also be kind to 1 person a day. Whether that’s a giving them a compliment, calling/texting a friend/family member just to see how they are doing, or just smiling at a random stranger. I promise doing something small for someone everyday may just make you day a little better ( I mean it can’t hurt right?). Just think about something real quick, some of our favorite YouTubers were bullied in school and turned to the internet for support. Now, they’re able to use their popularity and skills to help inspire others, and help them have a place to turn to when life gets just a little too hard. So if they can use kindness and positivity to help others, then why can’t you? I would like to thank Erica(aka Beautybabe149), for mentioning this video on her latest YouTube video about kindness. Without that video I don’t know if I would have found this AMAZING video, so please go check out her channel, subscribe, and if you want to learn more about her, I have a link to a blog post I featured her in here: YouTube Wednesday: Beautybabe149, the next YouTube beauty/fashion queen has arrived | celindareyesblog.

AwesomenessTV uploaded their first video on their YouTube channel on May 8th, 2012. The video was entitled ‘Randomness – The Lil’ Dictator Part 1’ (Randomness – The Lil’ Dictator Part 1 – YouTube). ‘The Lil’ Dictator’ is a skit about a young dictator who arrives at a school and begins making demands for the teacher to give him A’s, and the students to work as footstools. The skit was really interesting, and definitely was a good representation of what sort of work would eventually show up on the channel. If you loved shows with comical skits such as: ‘All That’ (Nickelodeon) and ‘So Random’ (Disney Channel), then you will love AwesomenessTV’s skits. Fans of Saturday Night Live would also love this channel’s skits, because many of the skits share the same sort of comedy found in Saturday Night Live, only tailored towards kids. Although AwesomenessTV has a lot of really funny skits, they also have many other shows that explore: fashion, beauty tricks/myths, music, reality shows, the behind the scene lives of celebrities, teen topics, entertainment news, and much more (so basically you’ll definitely find something you love on this channel). One of my favorite shows on AwesomenessTV is their talk show IMO (which is now in a different format), where various teen & young adult actresses and YouTubers discuss topics that are important to teen girls such as makeup, fashion, bullying, friends, and of course boys (all fan girls can relate to this one…here’s the trailer to get an idea about what the shows is about IMO official trailer on Awesomeness TV – YouTube).
If fashion and beauty are more your thing, then AwesomenessTV has you covered with shows such as: Make Me Over, Makeup Mythbusters, Nail Pop, and many more incredible shows (including numerous vlogs from some of your fav beauty/fashion gurus). I really enjoyed Make Me Over, because you got to see some of your fav beauty gurus (such as Bethany Mota and Missglamorazzi)take regular girls and tech them (with the assistance of their glam squad), how to create makeup, hair, and fashion looks that would convey a certain style, or was appropriate for a certain event (here’s the first episode of Season 1 with Bethany Mota, who hosted this particular season Make Me Over – Macbarbie07 Makes Over Tahara – Make Me Over Ep.1 – YouTube). Makeup Mythbusters is another really cool AwesomenessTV show where beauty/fashion/lifestyle guru Maybaby (aka Meg DeAngelis)and a guest try out several “beauty tricks” to see if this trick will do what it promises or not.
If you love entertainment news, then catch AwesomenessTV’s own Ryan Seacrest in training…Hunter March! Hunter’s personality contains just the right combination of funny, awkward, and of course awesomeness, to make him someone that you’ll want to tune in and watch every day. Hunter also has a show called #DearHunter on AwesomenessTV, where he answers all of your questions from a guy’s perspective (that’s priceless information you guys, here’s a link to the first episode How do you tell a guy you like him? #DearHunter – Ep. 1 – YouTube).
So as y’all can see this channel has EVERYTHING! There is so much more that we could talk about, but I would have you guys here for hours if we went through everything. Personally, I have watched AwesomenessTV ever since IMO first premiered in 2012, and ever since then, I have clicked on the channel everyday to see what amazing new show is waiting for me. Some of the shows I mentioned in this post may no longer be airing new episodes, or may be in a different format, but trust me when I say, there is ALWAYS something new to watch on AwesomenessTV. Along with the shows I mentioned, there are live performances from your fav stars and YouTubers, and reality shows about cheerleading teams, dance teams, and so much more. No matter what your interests are, you will find something on AwesomenessTV. In July of 2013, AwesomenessTV also started airing on Nickelodeon (it airs on Saturday nights at (9:30 pm PST , but check your local listings just in case it’s a different time where you live) where you can see your fav YouTube and TV stars performing funny skits on your TV screen, honestly what could be better!?! I am very excited to see where AwesomenessTV goes from here, and what talented, funny, and yes, AWESOME new stars this amazing YouTube channel will introduce to us next!
