YouTube Wednesday: Keegan Acton…the new beauty/fashion guru that YouTube is obsessing over

Hello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘YouTube Wednesday’ we’re going to talk about an incredible YouTuber who you will soon bekeegan acton addicted to. It can be really hard for a YouTuber to distinguish themselves because of all of the competition from the other great channels on the website. Once you see Keegan’s videos, it’s easy to figure out that she definitely stands out from the crowd. Not only is she knowledgeable about all of the topics that she discusses on her channel, but she’s also very entertaining to watch, has a natural on-camera presence, and she is able to engage her audience from the start of the video to the end. If you’re not already subscribed to her channel then you are definitely missing out. So please read on to discover the YouTuber that all your friends already love. Ready? Ok, let’s go!!!

The first video that we’re going to talk about is Keegan’s ‘Sephora and Charlotte Russe’ haul, which was uploaded on June 6th, 2013 (you can check out this video below). This video is the perfect introduction to Keegan’s channel because it shows us that she’s a natural born entertainer who can not only mesmerize her audience, but also leave them wanting to keep coming back to see more. I also love that this video is a haul because we get a glimpse at what Keegan’s personal style is like, which is a great way for her to connect with her audience. Next up we have her ‘First Impression | Nume Octo Wand’ video, which was uploaded on December 26th, 2013. First impression videos are great because we get to see what our fav YouTubers really think about a product without worrying that they’re just trying to get us to buy the product. In this video Keegan shows that she’s really good at reviewing products because she gives a very detailed review that tells us why the product is great, but does so in a way that allows us to figure out if this is the product for us.

Now we’re going to talk about Keegan’s ‘ My Braces Experience | EVERYTHING You Need To Know About Braces’ video, which was uploaded on March 17th, 2014. I think that one of the best things about YouTube is that we really get to know our favorite YouTubers in a way that makes us feel as if they’re our best friends. This video is a perfect example of that, because through this video Keegan is able to connect with all of her viewers who have braces, or will get braces in the near future. This is a MUST SEE video if you fall into either of these categories because Keegan is very detailed when she explains the process of getting braces put on, taken off, and everything in between. The final video that we’re going to discuss today is Keegan’s ‘ iPhone Case Collection 2015’ video, which was uploaded on June 22nd, 2015 (you can check out this video below). Personally I love watching iPhone case collections because you get to see some really cool cases and learn where to get them (gotta have more stuff to add to that letter to Santa). In this video we not only get to see some really cute phone cases (I seriously want all of them), but we once again get a glimpse into what Keegan’s personal style is, and how it has evolved. I really wish that I could have written about all of her videos because they’re all AMAZING, so I would definitely check out this channel if you want to give yourself an early Christmas present.

Monday Memos: RawSpiceBar Review…the subscription service that will spice up your holiday season!!!

Hello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘Monday Memos’ we are going to talk about an AMAZING new product that y’all will be obsessed with this holidayRaw Spice Bar Pic 2 season. Once the holiday season begins we are bombarded with delicious food, but after a while you might feel that you’re growing tired of the same types of food. I was recently given the incredible opportunity to review a new spice subscription service called RawSpiceBar. RawSpiceBar is a service that sends you 3 regional species every month, includes recipes of dishes (which feed 4-6 people) that you can use each of the spices in, and tells you a brief history of the region that the spices originate from, all for a mere $6 per month (you can also get a prepaid subscription for 6 months for $36 or 1 year for $66 which means that with this option you get 1 month free, gotta love that!). The spices are all really awesome and the dishes that you can make with them are super delicious. If you love to cook new and exotic dishes, or if you just want to spice up your holiday menu this year then you NEED to subscribe to RawSpiceBar. Now I know that you want to hurry up and subscribe to Raw Spice Bar, but if you want to learn even more about these awesome spices then please keep reading! Ready? Ok, let’s go!!!

The spices that I will be reviewing today were from the features spices for the month of November, and were for Ethiopian dishes. The three spices that I received were Berbere, Ethiopian Mitmita, and Pumpkin Pie Spice. Berbere is spicy and smoky addition that really gives the food a rich flavor. Personally I am a huge fan of spicy food, so this is now one of my favorite spices. You can use this spice with various soups, meats, poultry, as a rub on roast chicken or vegetables, and stirred into oil and vinegar as an awesome new dip, so the possibilities for delicious new dishes with these spice are endless. Don’t worry if you’re not a big fan of spicy food, because Berbere is a little spicy, but not unbearable, and definitely brings out the flavor of the dish in a new and exciting way. Next up we have the Ethiopian Mitmita spice! Now this is a very hot and spicy addition to any dish, that will definitely require you to have a drink nearby. Although this spice is seriously hot, it really makes a great addition to any meat stews, grilled meats, or as a replacement for hot sauce. Like I’ve previously said, the Ethiopian Mitmita spice is really hot, but I would give it a try because you seriously have never had flavor explode onto your taste buds like this before. Lastly we’re going to talk about the Pumpkin Pie Spice. Now I know what you’re thinking how different can this Pumpkin Pie Spice be from every other Pumpkin Pie Spiced food I’m eating/drinking during this time of the year. well trust me when I say that you have NEVER had Pumpkin Pie Spice that was this good! The cinnamon in it will seriously make you feel like baking dozens of cookies, and the blend is sweet but not overly sweet so it’s perfect for coffee, tea, or any Raw Spice Bar Pic 1baked good you can think of. If you want to kick off the holiday season right, this is the spice to get you in the perfect mood.

To wrap everything up, all of these spices were seriously great and I give them all 5 smiley faces (because you know smiley faces are more fun than stars). If the spices for November were so amazing, I can’t wait to see what the next featured spices will be! If you want a unique culinary experience every month than this subscription is a must have for you, and it also makes a great gift for any chefs in the family. I never promote any products that I don’t follow believe in so trust me when I say that $6 a month is a small price to pay for these incredible spices. So subscribe to RawSpiceBar today and get ready to have all the bragging rights at any holiday party this year!

YouTube Wednesday: 3 videos that will help you freak everyone out this Halloween

Hello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘YouTube Wednesday’ we are going to do something a little different. I thought that since it’s almost Halloween (Yay!!!!), we could talk about 3 amazing makeup tutorial videos that will help you add that special finishing touch to your costume this year. These videos vary in difficulty, but I would definitely give the looks a test run before Halloween (also make sure that you’re not allergic or have any sensitivity to any of the makeup/wax/etc. that the looks may need). I tried to rate these depending on how difficult the look is to replicate (even though the last two are about equal in terms of difficulty). Now let’s get to the looks. Ready? Ok, let’s go!!!

3) ‘CLAW WOUND SFX Makeup Tutorial’ by Kait Nichole, which was uploaded on October 12th, 2015. I thought that this would be a good video to kick things off with because it’s a cool way to really make any costume stand out. This look is very detailed so you will have to take your time with this one if you want it to look amazing however, it might be easier to do than the other two looks because it’s on the arm and not the face. In this video Kait does an INCREDIBLE job of explaining exactly how to replicate this wound, so I would definitely give it a try.

2) ‘Reptile Ringmaster Circus Freak Halloween Makeup Tutorial’ by Jordan Hanz, which was uploaded on October 12th, 2015 (I didn’t notice until after I chose the videos that this video and the claw wound video were uploaded on the same day. That’s kind of cool right?). As soon as I saw this look I just completely fell in love with how awesome it is. Now this look is also very detailed so again you have to have patience, but the payoff for the work looks to incredible for words. If you want a unique look that will definitely be Instagram worthy then this is a look to consider. Jordan does a really great job of explaining every step, so even though this may look a little intimidating, just follow her instructions and you’ll look AMAZING.

1) ‘Trippy Double Vision Makeup Look’ by dope2111, which was uploaded on September 17th, 2015. Like I said before, it was EXTREMELY hard to pick a winner for the #1 and #2 spots, but because this is a REALLY different sort of Halloween look, it won. I know that A LOT of you have probably already seen this video, but if you really want a look that will freak out your friends then this is the way to go. This is another look that takes patience to replicate because you want it to look as real as possible. The process is explained so well in this video, so I would definitely give this tutorial a shot. This is a really good look to show off your creativity, because you can build a scary or cute look around it, but still get the creepy factor in either way.
