Monday Memos: The new jeans your iPhone needs

Hello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘Monday Memos’ we are going to talk about some new jeans that iPhonephone charging jeans owners are going to love. These jeans come equipped with super cool technology that allows you to charge your phone with special cords connected to the jeans. Since our phones are basically the center of our worlds (I mean how else would we watch YouTube or Netflix, or go on social media…wow makes you wonder what people did before smart phones? Scary isn’t it?). So now let’s talk a little bit about the technology that is about to change our lives (but remember to read any and all safety instructions included with these jeans so you can stay safe). Ready? Ok, lets go!!!

A company called Joe’s Jeans have developed jeans called the #Hello jeans, that have “a patent pending pocket that perfectly holds your iPhone so you can charge your phone on-the-go,”. So basically this means that there is a small (but deep) pocket that perfectly holds the iPhone 5, 5s, 5c, and 6, and charges them through a small cord found on the waistband of the jeans, and a batter back that you can detach when you need to wash the jeans. The battery can charge an iPhone 5/5s/5c up to 80-85% and an iPhone 6 up to 70%, but the jeans are $189 plus $49 extra for the battery. Even thought this is pricey, you do get the convenience of never missing the perfect selfie opportunity so I guess we better add these jeans to our Christmas lists. These jeans definitely make you wonder what technology will bring us next. Check out the video below to see how the jeans work.

Monday Memos: Siri vs Cookie Monster…a battle of the icons

Hello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘Monday Memos’ we are going to discuss something that the whole internet was obsessed with this pat week. If you have an iPhone then you’re probably VERY familiar with the GPS function ‘Siri’. unless you have an iPhone and/or experience with Siri, then you may not realize that Siri is one very sassy GPS system. She’s been known to make jokes at the expense of her owner, and because of this, we have gotten some VERY funny clips for YouTube over the years. So please read on to find out what Siri did this past week that kept the internet buzzing.

It all started last Tuesday (June 30th), when Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul tweeted that we should all ask SIri what zero divided by zero is (if you haven’t done this then go ahead and try…it’s ok I’ll wait…ok let’s move on!). Of course we all tried this, and here is what Siri said: “Imagine that you have zero cookies and you split them evenly among zero friends. How many cookies does each person get? See? It doesn’t make sense. And Cookie Monster is sad that there are no cookies, and you are sad that you have no friends.” So there you have it, be careful what you ask Siri because she is NOT afraid to completely destroy your self esteem. Oh, and in case you’re wondering, Cookie Monster has tweeted his resonse:

Well said Cookie Monster…well said! Make sure y’all check out a video of Siri’s answer to the zero question below:

ToThe9sHello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘YouTube Wednesday’ we’re going to discuss an amazing beauty/fashion guru duo that will entertain you and give you awesome advice. If you haven’t heard of the channel ‘ToThe9s’ then you NEED to do that right now (well finish reading this blog post then hop on over there). ToThe9s was created by Vancouver college students Cassie and Ricci, who both are naturals in front of the camera. This duo’s diverse range of beauty/fashion/& DIY videos will have you instantly hooked and constantly checking your subscription box for new videos. So now…let’s get to the videos. Ready? Ok, let’s go!

The first video that we’re going to talk about is ToThe9s’ ‘DIY iPhone/Android cases’ video, which was uploaded on November 19th, 2013 (you can check out this video below). This video shows you that with a little work, you can have as many cool and unique cases as the internet can produce. The video is very detailed so you’ll know exactly what to do, and one of the girls even tells a quick story about how she use to sell these types of cases for kids at her school (which is a great idea to earn a little money for the summer btw). Next up we have ToThe9s’  ‘DIY Ripped Knee Jeans’ video, which was uploaded on April 19, 2014. This is a really cool video because it shows how you can easily transform any jeans into ripped jeans. The video is easy to follow, and help you create your jeans in just a few minutes. You gotta love a DIY video that helps you always stay in style.

Ok, let’s moved on to the ‘BACK TO SCHOOL LOOKBOOK: College Edition’ video, which was uploaded on September 15th, 2014. Even though it’s summer right now, eventually we all have to go to back to school so this is an excellent aid if you’re nervous about starting college or just school in general. The videos shows a lot of really cool looks that you can easily adapt to fit your individual style. This is the perfect way to start school in a fashionable way (before mid terms hit and you live in sweat pants…it happens just wait and see). The final video that we’re going to discuss is ToThe9s’ ‘Simple Summer Outfits’ video, which was uploaded on June 11th, 2015 (you can check out this video below). What I really love about this video is that all of the outfits have a very minimalistic feel, which is perfect if you want to look effortless cool. These looks are also a great way to shake up your summer style so you can grab those extra likes on Instagram (#instafamous !).

YouTube Wednesday: Mel Joy…the YouTuber that you NEED to subscribe to this spring

Hello people of the Internet!!! On today’s ‘YouTube Wednesday’ we are going to talk about a new beauty/fashion guru that Imel joy know y’all will just love! Now if you’re as obsessed with finding great new YouTubers as I am (and I know y’all are), then get ready to hit that subscribe button. If you haven’t heard of Mel Joy, then prepare yourself with the wave of awesomeness that’s about to hit you. So now let’s get to the part you really want to hear about…the videos! Ready? Let’s go!

The first video that we’re going to talk about is Mel Joy’s ‘Instax mini 8 camera review/demo’, which was uploaded on July 27th, 2014 (you can check out the video below). I thought that this was a really fun video to kick things off with because this camera has been ALL over every social media network. It’s so cool that Polaroid style pictures are becoming cool again, because there’s nothing like being able to hold a picture in your hand (and not have to worry about accidentally erasing it). But, this is an expensive camera to just go out and buy, so I thought that it was cool that Mel Joy did a very detailed review of the camera, so you can decide for yourself if this is the camera for you. Next up we have Mel Joy’s ‘Everyday Makeup Routine for School (2014)’, which was uploaded on September 11th, 2014. What I loved most about this video is that the tutorial used a lot of drugstore products (which makes this look so much more achievable), and the finished product leaves you with a very a natural look that will definitely be school/parent approved. This is also a good tutorial for anyone who is new to the makeup world, because it gives you a crash course in what you’ll need to know.

Next up we have Mel Joy’s ‘What’s on My iPhone 5?! + How I Edit My Instagram Pictures’ video, which was uploaded on September 27th 2014. I think that this is the type of video that we can all relate to, because who doesn’t love learning new editing tricks (we gotta grab those like y’all, it just a must). If you want to see if there are any MUST HAVE apps that your fav beauty gurus are using that you don’t have, then definitely check out this video. Now it wouldn’t be a YouTube Wednesday blog post if we didn’t talk about a haul, so here’s Mel Joy’s ‘SPRING/SUMMER HAUL 2015’ video, which was uploaded on April 4th, 2015 (you can check out the video below). Haul videos are awesome for many reasons, but one of these reasons is because we get to ship vicariously brought someone else. This way you feed your shopping addiction, but don’t actually have to spend any money (everybody wins!). This video not only showed off Mel Joy’s AMAZING style, but also shows us that she is a natural in front of the camera. This video (along with her many other awesome videos) will a make you extremely excited to see what her future videos will be like (so hit hat subscribe button so you don’t miss out).
