Hello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘YouTube Wednesday’ we are going to do something a little different. I thought that since it’s almost Halloween (Yay!!!!), we could talk about 3 amazing makeup tutorial videos that will help you add that special finishing touch to your costume this year. These videos vary in difficulty, but I would definitely give the looks a test run before Halloween (also make sure that you’re not allergic or have any sensitivity to any of the makeup/wax/etc. that the looks may need). I tried to rate these depending on how difficult the look is to replicate (even though the last two are about equal in terms of difficulty). Now let’s get to the looks. Ready? Ok, let’s go!!!
3) ‘CLAW WOUND SFX Makeup Tutorial’ by Kait Nichole, which was uploaded on October 12th, 2015. I thought that this would be a good video to kick things off with because it’s a cool way to really make any costume stand out. This look is very detailed so you will have to take your time with this one if you want it to look amazing however, it might be easier to do than the other two looks because it’s on the arm and not the face. In this video Kait does an INCREDIBLE job of explaining exactly how to replicate this wound, so I would definitely give it a try.
2) ‘Reptile Ringmaster Circus Freak Halloween Makeup Tutorial’ by Jordan Hanz, which was uploaded on October 12th, 2015 (I didn’t notice until after I chose the videos that this video and the claw wound video were uploaded on the same day. That’s kind of cool right?). As soon as I saw this look I just completely fell in love with how awesome it is. Now this look is also very detailed so again you have to have patience, but the payoff for the work looks to incredible for words. If you want a unique look that will definitely be Instagram worthy then this is a look to consider. Jordan does a really great job of explaining every step, so even though this may look a little intimidating, just follow her instructions and you’ll look AMAZING.
1) ‘Trippy Double Vision Makeup Look’ by dope2111, which was uploaded on September 17th, 2015. Like I said before, it was EXTREMELY hard to pick a winner for the #1 and #2 spots, but because this is a REALLY different sort of Halloween look, it won. I know that A LOT of you have probably already seen this video, but if you really want a look that will freak out your friends then this is the way to go. This is another look that takes patience to replicate because you want it to look as real as possible. The process is explained so well in this video, so I would definitely give this tutorial a shot. This is a really good look to show off your creativity, because you can build a scary or cute look around it, but still get the creepy factor in either way.
Hello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘Monday Memos’ we’re talking all about back to school fashion. This time I decided to split the looks into 3 categories (preppy, casual, and uniform). I tried not to include any pieces that might violate most school dress codes, but you can always substitute any of the pieces for more weather appropriate choices depending on what your school allows (or if you’re in college and can pretty much wear whatever you want…but you’ll probably end up leaving in sweat pants or leggings…anyways, moving on now). I also didn’t include any skirts, dresses, or shorts because schools can be really picky on these pieces. So now let get to the part that you’re all waiting on, the clothes! Ready? Ok, let’s go!!!
Preppy Look:
Self-Tie Bow Blouse from Forever 21:
I know that this piece is a little different than what are usually in these Lookbooks, but I just thought that it had a very cool prim and proper flair. Sorta like something Spencer from ‘Pretty Little Liars’ would wear.
Skinny Jeans from American Eagle:
Skinny jeans really help add to this look and a bonus is that you can keep using these in the fall and winter so that means more money to buy other pieces (yay!).
Lace-Up Brogue Oxfords from Charlotte Russe:
You just gotta love a good Oxford shoe, because it’s dressy but also comfortable so you can run from one side of the school to the other without worrying about breaking your ankles.
Big Mango Backpack from Amazon:
I just have to say that I LOVE this backpack. It’s perfectly dresses up any outfit, and is big enough to fit your books and even a computer. You gotta love a backpack that’s fashionable and functional!
Casual Look:
Eyelash Lace-Trimmed Sweater from Forever 21
Ok I know it’s probably still a little warm for a sweater, but this just looked so comfortable that I couldn’t resist adding it. The lace trim definitely dresses up the piece, and it goes great with so many different outfits that it will soon become one of your closet staples.
Plaid Leggings from The Bethany Mota Collection by Aeropostale
Plaid is a great pattern to invest in because again you can use it in just about any season, so it saves money in the long run. Also, leggings are great on those days when you just don’t want to put any effort into you look, but don’t want anyone else to know that.
Easton Chunky Heel Combat Boots from Target:
Now what Back To School Lookbook would be complete without combat boots. You can use these boots for a casual look, edgy look, or anything in between. On another note, they’re also really comfy so this it’s a good alternative to sneakers, and combat boots are always in style.
Hynes Eagle Backpack from Amazon:
Ok I have to say that I’m seriously OBESSED with this backpack, it’s just amazing! The Eiffel tower picture is really cool, and the bright colors really pop, so you will definitely get noticed in the hallways. The best thing about this backpack is it’s perfect for anyone who’s constantly on the go, because it will hold all your stuff without any fuss.
Uniform Look:
White Short Sleeve Polo from American Eagle
I decided to add this category because it can really suck to have to wear uniforms, but just because you’re stuck wearing them doesn’t mean you still can’t look cute (on a side note accessories really help, just make sure you’re following your school’s dress code BEFORE you go shopping).
High Rise Jegging from H&M:
Now I’m not 100% sure what the general dress code policy is on jeggings but they look like jeans so that should be ok…right? I would definitely recommend getting high waisted jeans if you can, because they’re perfect if you have to have your shirt tucked in, and high waisted anything is really hot right now so it’s a double win!
Converse All Star Hi Wonder Woman Sneaker from Journeys:
Ok usually schools seem to be pretty relaxed when it come to sneakers, so this presents a really awesome opportunity to show off your individual style. On another note, if Wonder Woman isn’t your thing, this sneaker is also available with Superman and Batman prints so you’ll probably find something that you like.
Leaper Casual Canvas Backpack from Amazon:
I thought that this backpack will probably match most school uniforms, and it’s cute so your uniform won’t look so ordinary. Your backpack is another way to show off your individuality (unless you school requires clear backpacks), so if you’re forced to wear a uniform, this is definitely a good way to express your individuality.
Hello people of the Internet!!! On today’s ‘YouTube Wednesday’ we are going to talk about your soon to be newest YouTube obsession, SouthernBelle606 (aka Meredith), a 17 year old beauty/fashion guru from Alabama. Her fun, outgoing personality will make you completely addicted to her videos, and you can always count on her to have the best fashion/beauty tips & tricks. The first video that we’re going to talk about is Meredith’s ‘Get Ready with Me: A Day of Summer Vacation + My First Video’, which was uploaded on June 13th, 2013. I thought that this was such a fun video to talk about because it really shows just how much Meredith has grown as an entertainer. In this first video Meredith is a little shy, but we still get glimpses of the fun personality that keeps her viewers coming back. This video also shows that Meredith is very knowledgeable about beauty & fashion, which also makes you want to continue to watch her future videos. The next video that we’re going to watch is Meredith’s ‘Transitions Your Outfits: Winter to spring’ video, which was uploaded on March 8th, 2014 (you can check out the video below). This is a really awesome video to check out because even though we are in spring, it can still get a little chilly in some areas. There were so many cute outfit ideas in this video that can work for school or hanging out with friends/family.
The next video we’re going to talk about is Meredith’s ‘My Everyday 5-Minute Curls’ video, which was uploaded on January 9th, 2015. I just HAD to share this video with y’all because her curling method is so cool and easy to replicate. For those of us who are lazy (me!), and/or like to get that extra few minutes of sleep (also me!), this video shows you how to get cute curls quickly. Definitely a method you will want to add in your morning routine! The final video that we’re going to talk about is Meredith’s ‘Huge Spring Haul: BeautyCon, Lilly, F21, and More!’ video, which was uploaded on March 23rd, 2015 (you can check out this video below). Hello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘YouTube Wednesday’ we are going to discuss a new YouTuber that you need to watch in 2015. Lauren aka lovinglaurenx is a fashion/beauty/lifestyle guru who is quickly making her mark on YouTube. She is one of those unique YouTubers who is able to share her knowledge of beauty and fashion in a way that is informative, fun, and keeps you coming back for more. In a short 2 years, she has been able to gain 213,237 subscribers, and 16,394,641 total channel views. It’s incredible how she’s been able to gain 16 million views in two years! This sort of growth and increase in numbers has made us wonder whether she’s bought any views from legitimate sites like https://buyoutubeviews.com/buy-youtube-views, as they provide a service that will generate a growth like this. One of the things that I find particularly incredible about Lauren’s channel is that she is using her influence and YouTube exposure to give her subscribers advice about how to have more confidence, achieve their dreams, and live a happy life. Honestly you have to love a beauty guru who knows that the most beautiful thing about all of us is what’s on the inside. So now…let’s start talking about the video! K? OK!
The first video that we’re going to talk about is Lauren’s first video, which is a ‘Revlon Nail Polish Haul’, which was uploaded on February 8th, 2012 (here’s the link: Revlon Nail Polish Haul). I thought that this was a really good first video, because you could tell that Lauren was not just emulating what other gurus do, but was using their influence to create her own style. The review was informative and impartial (which I love because it’s cool to get an unbiased opinion from your fav beauty experts). This is a really good introduction to what sort of an entertainer Lauren is, and will definitely make you excited to see more. So…let’s see more! Next up we have Lauren’s ‘My Everyday Winter Routine’ video, which was uploaded on December 14th, 2012 (here’s a link for y’all: My Everyday Winter Routine ? (Makeup, Hair & Outfit!) . Even though this video is 2 years old, I thought that y’all could watch it and draw inspiration for your own winter looks. My favorite part of this video, is that the looks are easy to replicate, and give off a very chill, laid-back vibe that is also very cute. These looks are absolutely perfect for work, school, or if you’re just too lazy to put a lot of effort in your look (which is basically me every day).
Now we’re going to discuss Lauren’s 2013 ‘Fall Haul’, which was uploaded on September 22nd, 2013 (link here: FALL HAUL ft. Victorias Secret, B&BW, Ipsy & More!) . Y’all knew that a haul video review was coming because let’s face it…haul videos are perf. I just love them, and I know y’all do too. I mean what’s better than being able to shop and not spend any money? It’s like Pinterest set to video! Moving on. I love this haul because Lauren shows items from stores that most of her viewers probably have access too, and she showed that she loves a good deal (I mean if you get a good deal on stuff then you have more money to shop even more…everybody wins!). I also like that Lauren showed a wide variety of clothes, accessories, makeup, and other items, because all of her viewers have things that they will love from this video. The next video that we’re going to talk about is Lauren’s ‘What’s Important to You? video, which was uploaded on February 27th, 2014 (here’s the link: What’s IMPORTANT to YOU? ? Finding Yourself, Growing Up & Traveling!) . I thought that this was a fun video to talk about because I love it when YouTubers take the time to make advice/inspirational videos for their fans. It’s really cool as a YouTube fan, to feel close to your fav YouTubers, by hearing about their stories, struggles, and triumphs, and feeling that maybe one day you can live out your dreams just like they are living out their dreams. The last video that we’re going to discuss in this post is Lauren’s ‘My Top 5 Netflix TV Shows’, which was uploaded on November 26th, 2014 (click here to view for awesomeness: MY TOP 5 NETFLIX TV SHOWS!) . I thought that this was such a fun video idea, because let’s face it; we’re ALL hopelessly addicted to Netflix. I really loved that all of the shows that she profiled were from different genres, so you WILL find shows that you love. It’s fun to see our fav YouTubers fangirl out (because we all fangirl…several times a day…about everything). So that’s all for now people of the internet! I hope y’all enjoyed this blog post, please subscribe to Lauren’s cannel, and if YOU have any YouTubers that you want me to showcase on here then please let me know. See y’all in 2015!!!

Hello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘Monday Memos’, we are going to discuss everyone’s FAVORITE part of coming into a new season…NEW FASHION!!! Since today is officially the first day of fall (aka when you can officially start binging on pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks), I thought that this was the perfect opportunity to do a ‘fall fashions’ blog post. Now I know that weather conditions vary depending on where you live, so I’m going to try to show y’all outfits that will keep you toasty, but aren’t boiling hot (you can alter it depending on what the weather is like in your neighborhood). I also tried to make these outfits school/parent approved. Hope y’all enjoy!
Dressy Look:
Edgy Look:
Casual Outfit:
While I hope y’all enjoyed the looks! Remember that if it’s colder where you live then you can always add a cardigan or jacket, and if it’s hotter, you can substitute shorts or tank tops/short sleeved shirts. Have a fun fall people of the internet!!!
