Monday Memos: Top 3 TV shows that left us to soon in 2014 & 2015

Hello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘Monday Memos’ we’re going to talk about everybody’s favorite pastime…watching T.V.! January is an interesting time for T.V., because this is when new seasons premiere, new shows are added to the list of thing’s we’re obsessed with, and our hearts are broken when our fav shows are cancelled. So let’s take a look at some of the shows in 2014 & 2015 that were taken from us far too soon. Ready? Ok, let’s go!!!
crisis3) Crisis (NBC):
This high action drama was another show that had the potential to be so great. It told the story of what happens when the nation’s most powerful people’s children are kidnapped and held for ransom. We not only got to see the drama that the adults went through as they struggled with their parental love and civil duties, but we also got to see the drama that the kids went though as they tried to survive. This is a show that always kept its’ audience on their toes, so I would have liked to see how it would have continued.

2) Red Band Society (FOX):red band society
This show was able to perfectly balance, romance, drama, tragedy, and comedy in an amazing story of terminal ill teenager who live in a hospital. Even though the show only had a 13 episode run, they did a great job of developing their characters, and it’s obvious that we would have fallen even more in love with these characters as the series continued.

twisted 21) Twisted (ABC Family):
This was was another drama that always had us on our toes. This show told the story of a boy named Danny who returns to his hometown after 5 years in a juvenile detention center after being convicted of murdering his aunt. When he returns he reunites with his 2 childhood best friends and soon finds himself accused of committing another murder after a popular girl from his high school dies. In the rest of the season we get romance, lots of drama, and more questions about whether or not Danny really killed his aunt, and if he didn’t what secrets is his family hiding. It’s such a shame that this show ended before we could really dive into the story, and explore these complex characters.

Monday Memos: Hannah Michaels Interview

hannah michaels 2

Hello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘Monday Memos’ I have a cool new interview with Hannah Michaels to show y’all. If you missed the first blog post that Hannah was featured in, you can check it out here: Monday Memos: Hannah Michaels. Also, if you haven’t checked out Hannah’s music video for her new single entitled I’m Not Runnin’, then please check it out below (spoiler alert, it’s AWESOME!). In this interview we’re going to discuss Hannah’s music, influences, where she sees herself in the future, and so much more. I am so excited that we’re all getting the opportunity to get to know Hannah better, because she is definitely a star on the rise! In fact, she is currently working on new music with Steven Solomon, who co-wrote and produced Sabrina Carpenter’s (from the Disney Channel hit show Girl Meets World), new single, We’ll Be The Stars, which was recently released through Disney/Hollywood Records. So if y’all are ready let’s dive into the interview!

Celinda: Hi Hannah. So to start off, how would you describe your sound?

Hannah: Hi. My sound is somewhat pop alternative, but I have a large interest in exploring, shaping, and expanding my sound. I wouldn’t consider it completely categorized or completed yet.

Celinda: So, what/who inspired you to pursue a career in music?

Hannah: I have always been in love with music, but growing up my older brother majorly inspired me, as he is also a very passionate musician.

Celinda: Very cool, so was there a specific moment that you knew that you wanted to become an entertainer?

Hannah: I have always known that I wanted to pursue music, but there have definitely been moments performing for my close friends and writing music that have continued to inspire me.

Celinda: What artists/bands have inspired your music, that might surprise fans?

Hannah: Well, Sara Bareilles, Karen O, Ingrid Michaelson, and Norah Jones are all huge inspirations to me as a writer and a musician.

Celinda: I can definitely see those inspirations in your stylizing. So what was it about I’m Not Runnin, that made you want to release it as your debut single?

Hannah: Jay and Rachel worked on it with me, and they are extremely talented writers. Also, I think that the song is very powerful and a pleasant lighthearted song that I saw a lot of potential in.

Celinda: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Hannah: In 10 years I hope that I will have shaped myself as a musician and as a writer, and that I will be continuing to pursue music.

Celinda: Great! Lastly, do you have anything else to add for your fans who may be reading this interview?

Hannah: Thanks for listening/reading!

Monday Memos: Hannah Michaels, the new artist that will rule your fall playlists

Hello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘Monday Memos’ we are going to discuss an AMAZING new singer/songwriter that I know y’all will fall in love with. Remember the name Hannah Michaels, because she will soon become your fav new artist. With a very cool old school funk meets soul vibe, Hannah’s music is a breath of fresh air in the modern music scene. If you love artists such as Amy Winehouse and Ingrid Michaelson, then you will become OBSESSED with Hannah. With two well accomplished and prestigious writers behind her first single, this young artist is off to a great start, and I definitely think that her talent and artistry will allow her to become a staple on your radio VERY soon. So let’s jump into discuss Hannah’s debut single I’m Not Runnin (which you can see here I’m Not Runnin).

This single was co-written by Rachael Taylor (formally of the indie pop band ‘He Is We’), and Jay Vice (who co-wrote and produced Victoria Justice’s 2013 single ‘Gold’). Once I heard I’m Not Runnin, I instantly fell in love with it! This song is a really beautiful track about a girl who has always been lonely and “running “ from relationships, but now she is finally in a safe relationship that she doesn’t have to fear. I love that this song has an amazing message, and really catchy lyrics that you will be replaying constantly. Another thing that I love about this song is Hannah’s voice on the track. She has such a uniquely lovely voice that you are instantly intrigued, and can’t help but stay mesmerized from the first note to the last. I love the honesty in Hannah’s voice, which really shows that she is able to connect to what she’s singing, and make us believe it. Now let’s move on to the I’m Not Runnin music video ok? Ok!

I really like this video because it is beautifully shot, and really illustrates the message of the song. The locations ( a field in a forest and pier on a beach), really give the video a vibe of freedom, innocence, happiness and all of the great things that come with being young and in love. Hannah was also able to show through this video, that she is a natural in front of the camera (I mean honestly a lot of artists are awkward or not able to fully commit to the story behind their first music video). Once you start watching the video, Hannah is able to transport you into the story, and you forget that you’re watching a music video. I think that the best thing about the I’m Not Runnin video, is that it leaves you anxiously waiting for the next video and song Hannah will put out (and considering the fact that the video has almost 12,000 views and has only been out for 6 days as of November 14th I’m not the only one who feels this way).

So tell me people of the internet, after hearing I’m Not Runnin, you’re obsessed with Hannah right? I knew you would be! Honestly I am so excited about Hannah’s future in the music industry, because she has everything needed to become a star: talent, a high level of artistry, uniqueness, likability, a distinct tone to her voice that is easily distinguishable, and a killer debut single that instantly forces you to pay attention to her. So if you like staying ahead of music trends, then support Hannah’s music, keep up with her social media accounts, and jump on the bandwagon before she becomes a huge star (because trust me, she will).
