Hello people of the internet!!! In honor of the beginning of everyone’s favorite season (summer!), I thought that it would be fun to discuss our ‘2015 Summer Lookbook’. This time around we have 3 looks, with various expensive and inexpensive pieces that you can use throughout the season. No matter what your style is, or what you may be doing this summer, there should definitely be some pieces here that you can utilize. Before we start let’s hear a quick word from Olaf
I know that was cheesy, but I had to do it. Ready to move on to the lookbook? Ok, let’s go!
White Fringe Tank from ‘The Kendall & Kylie Collection’ at ‘Pac Sun’:
This is a really cute top that not only has a cool design that will make your top stand out, but also takes the classic crop top in an interesting direction by adding long fringe. This is a really cool piece that you can use with various outfits all summer long!
Pink High Waisted Destroyed Denim Shorts from Wet Seal:
What I really liked about these shorts is that their pink hue is a perfect summer color, and the distressed design makes them perfect to create a boho or edgy look. These shorts are a fun change from the classic “blue jean” look, so it’s an easy way to switch up your look a little.
Daisy Aviator Sunglasses from Aeropostale:
I thought that these Aviators were the perfect accessory to add because they give the whole look a more chilled 70s vibe, and the daisies are a cool touch. Also, these glasses are inexpensive so if you wear them to a concert or festival, you wouldn’t have to worry if they get lost or broken.
Lace Up Peep Toe Booties from Forever 21:
I feel like these boots are definitely a bit of an unusual choice, but I thought that they gave the outfit a very cool vibe. Also this is another piece that you can use with multiple looks so it’s a win for sure.
Dressy Lace Circle Dress from H & M:
I’m so in love with this dress y’all, I just can’t! It’s the perfect length for just about any occasion, and it’s also very forgiving (because you know some times we need the help). I also thought that the lace gives the dress a very summer feel, but it can also be transitioned to fall, winter, and spring so you’ll get your money’s worth out of this piece.
Dressy Look Lace Up Gladiator Wedge Sandals from Forever 21:
Right now EVERYONE is lovin Gladiator sandals and we can’t blame them! These shoes will definitely dress down this outfit a bit, and also give your feet a well deserved break. You can always replace these shoes with flats or heels if you need to for a certain occasion, but these sandals will definitely be your go to shoes this season.
Coach Corner Zip Wristlet in Printed Crossgrain Leather from Macy’s:
This is such a cool wristlet y’all I just can’t get over how much I completely love this thing. Honestly we all know Coach is expensive and not sometime that most of us fill our closets with, but if you’re going to invest in a Coach accessory I think that this is a pretty good way to go. A wristlet is cool because you can fit your important cards, your money, put your phone in your pocket and your good to go. I loved the colors on this piece, which is why impaired it with this dress, but honestly you could pair it with any
Gold Rhinestone with Fringe Statement Necklace from Icings:
This is a really pretty, inexpensive necklace that you can honestly reuse over and over all year. The best part is that it’s perfect for a more dressy outfit, small enough to dress up a casual outfit, and you also get a fun, summer feel from the piece with the fringe. I also saw a beautiful name necklace recently and I’m very tempted to buy it. Pretty much any gold necklace will look great with a summer outfit.
Pink Graphic Tee from ‘The Bethany Mota Collection’ at Aeropostale:
Now you know we all have those days when we just don’t wanna try (some of us have those days more than others), but just because we’re going casual, doesn’t mean we need to sacrifice looking cute. This t-shirt looks super comfy, and shorts with funny sayings always have a place in my heart (Right? Right!).
RVCA Lower Deck Soft Shorts from Pac Sun:
Now another trend that everyone is loving is soft shorts (if we can just get everyone on a sweatpants & flip-flops trend life would be perfect…one day people of the internet, it will be back). These shorts are honestly one of my fav trends because the shorts feel like wearing pajamas but are socially acceptable (WIN!!!). Besides being incredibly comfy, these particular shorts also have a cool pattern that you can match with a variety of tops.
Converse All Star Ox from Footlocker:
If we’re taking comfort, you don’t need to look any further than converse. These shoes have found a place in our hearts for sooo many years, and honestly we’ll always love them. I thought these were cool because they have an interesting metallic shine that just adds a little extra flair to the outfit.
Studded Floppy Hat from Charlotte Russe:
Now if we’re really having a casual day then the hair might not exactly be runway ready, so you can either do a bun, a ponytail, or a fun hat. Once summer hits floppy hats are A MUST and I thought that this studded one was particularly awesome because…well…it’s studded and studded stuff automatically looks cooler (oh you know it’s true).

Hello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘YouTube Wednesday’ we are going to discuss an AMAZING new YouTube musician that you all need to check out. This amazingly talented guy has been posting videos on YouTube since 2007, and is definitely one of the internet’s best kept secrets. Whether you like R&B, Pop, Rock music, or anything in between, then you WILL find a song that you love on his channel. Who am I talking about? Well if the name Leroy Sanchez does not ring a bell then y’all need to get on YouTube ASAP and check out his awesome voice (well finish reading this post and then hop on over to YouTube, ok? Ok.). So let’s dive into the blog post and discuss a little bit of Leroy’s backstory, and some of his covers that I know y’all will love (hey 385,791 subscribers can’t be wrong right?). Also, please check out Leroy’s debut single ‘Little Dancer is out NOW, and his debut album is expected to drop soon so check out Leroy’s social media accounts and/or check back here to stay updated.
Leroy Sanchez grew up in Vitoria, Spain, and according to his website has always been a singer. Because of Leroy’s love for music, he decided to cultivate his teaching himself to play the guitar and sing at a very young age. Leroy steadily grew his audience, and in 2010 (3 years after he uploaded his first video), he grabbed the attention of Grammy Award winning producer Jim Jonsin (who has previously worked with, etc.). Leroy then went to Miami for a week to work with Jim, and after staying there for a few months, Leroy was signed to Jim’s Rebel Rock label (in partnership with Interscope Records). Leroy has also shown that he is not only an extremely talented artist, but also has a very giving nature, by volunteering with the organization CoachArt (which provides chronically ill children free lessons in the arts and various sports).
The first cover we’re going to talk about is the first cover on Leroy’s channel, which is a duet of ‘Breaking Free’ from High School Musical that he uploaded on January 19th, 2007. I really loved this cover because not every artist can perform a duet as well as they can sing solo, and Leroy proves early on that he can. Based off of this cover, I am VERY excited to see the other artist that Leroy could collaborate with in the future, but I’m getting ahead of myself here. I’ve heard a lot of covers of this song on YouTube ever since High School Musical first premiered, and I have to say that this is one of my favs. What I really love about this cover is that Leroy sounds AMAZING on this cover, but in the video he is very nervous and looks a bit unsure of his talent. Honestly there is something really charming about someone who is awesome and doesn’t know it. So please click here (breaking free live leroy and elena) and check out this incredible cover that you will have on repeat all day. The next cover we are going to discuss is Leroy’s cover of ‘Bleeding Love’ by Leona Lewis, which was uploaded on December 22nd, 2009. Honestly, this is an INCREDIBLY difficult song to sing because it requires being able to perform and properly control a lot of super hard notes, as well as your breathing. On top of this, you have to properly deliver the emotion behind the song, so needless to say, not everyone can do this. But Leroy does not disappoint us, and performs this song with ease. If you watch this video and compare it to his first one, you can see A LOT of improvement, which shows just how dedicated and passionate Leroy is about his craft (you can check out the awesome video right here Bleeding love by Leona Lewis (Requested song).
The next video that we’re going to talk about is Leroy’s cover (which was uploaded on February 1st, 2012) of R&B singer’s version of the song ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ (which was originally released by country singer Bonnie Raitt). I really enjoyed this cover because I felt like it showed just how much diversity Leroy’s voice has. Even though he did covers of R&B songs on his channel before this, ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ was originally a country song with blues influences, so it’s cool to see these influences in Leroy’s voice. I really love when an artist shows that they are comfortable in various genres of music, because it shows just how deep their love for music in general is, and ultimately makes their solo projects more interesting because of all of the various influences that sneak into the songs. Just like ‘Bleeding Love’, this is also another song that can’t be sung correctly if the artist does not properly connect with the emotions of the lyrics. If you haven’t checked out this cover, click here ( Can’t Make You Love Me – Bonnie Raitt (Tank’s version) by Leroy). There are a lot of other really awesome covers that y’all should check out (trust me once you get to his channel you will want to listen to all of his covers on repeat)! The finally video that we are going to discuss is Leroy’s official music video for his debut single ‘Little Dancer’ (which was uploaded on April 29th, 2014, and you can check out here Leroy Sanchez – Little Dancer). I really feel like this is a really cool debut single for Leroy because the song is an emotional ballad that has a really inspirational message about following your dreams. The song tells the story of a young girl who dreams of becoming a dancer, but allows obstacles and fear to stand in her way. I think that this is definitely a message that we can all relate to, and the video is extremely well shot. This video really makes me excited to see what other songs and videos that Leroy will release in the future! So as I’m sure y’all have already figured out, Leroy Sanchez is an artist on the rise that you don’t want to miss out on!

Hello people of the internet!!! On today’s ‘Monday Memos’, we are going to discuss everyone’s FAVORITE part of coming into a new season…NEW FASHION!!! Since today is officially the first day of fall (aka when you can officially start binging on pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks), I thought that this was the perfect opportunity to do a ‘fall fashions’ blog post. Now I know that weather conditions vary depending on where you live, so I’m going to try to show y’all outfits that will keep you toasty, but aren’t boiling hot (you can alter it depending on what the weather is like in your neighborhood). I also tried to make these outfits school/parent approved. Hope y’all enjoy!
Lace Trimmed Open Knit Sweater from Forever 21: I really loved this sweater because it’s lightweight, but still has a very “fall time” feel to it. The lace trim is also very cute, and something that keeps this sweater in style, so you can continue to wear it through the winter.
‘Matelassé’ Skater Skirt from Forever 21: I really like this skirt because it’s flowy, comfortable, and a way to incorporate our summer wardrobe into the fall season.
Buckled Riding Boots from American Eagle: Ok, once fall hits, I become completely obsessed with boots. I really love these riding boots because they give the outfit a very polished look, and provide a nice balance to the skater skirt, which will keep you nice and toasty.
Jet Set Logo Tote by Michael Kors : I love that this bag has a very classic look, and really adds sophistication to any look. A good bag is one of the most important accessories you can have, and this one gives off an “adult” vibe that is perfect for class or work.
Knee High Socks from Aéropostale: I really loved these knee-high socks because they add warmth to the outfit, but also help the style stay cute and sophisticated.
‘Bart Simpson’ Chalkboard Tank from Wet Seal: Seriously who doesn’t love ‘The Simpson’?!? So why not be the coolest kid in school and show your that YOU are the biggest ‘Simpsons’ fangirl! If it’s too cold to wear a sleeveless shirt where you live, then you can add a simple black cardigan or jacket over the shirt so you don’t freeze.
Plaid and Floral Leggings from Forever 21: I like these leggings for the look because, they incorporate the plaid look that was popular this summer (and is going to continue in the fall). The leggings also have a light floral pattern on them, which adds an interesting flair to the outfit.
‘Troopa’ Boots by Steve Madden: I like that these boots don’t have any embellishments, so they don’t clash with the leggings and tank. I definitely think that everyone should have a simple pair of boots like these, because you can pair them with a variety of outfits throughout the fall and winter seasons.
‘Fancy Footwork Emanuelle’ Cross-Body Bag by Kate Spade: This bag is perfect for all of the music lovers out there! The keyboard design is very cool, and will definitely make your outfit stand out this year. I also like that the crossbody design makes this bag easy to wear during day to day activities, but will also give any outfit a stylish flair.
Stud Baseball Cap from Claire’s: I thought that this hat was the perfect finishing touch for this edgy look. The golden studs bring a nice complementary color to the leggings and tank, and add a cool edge to this outfit.
‘Clothes Before Bros’ sweater from Forever 21: Ok, can we just take a moment to discuss how awesome the wording on this sweater is! Now if you’re a fangirl of ‘One Tree Hill’ (I know you all are), then you’ll remember that ‘Clothes Before Bros’ was the name of Brooke’s clothing line on the show. Now I’m not 100% sure that that’s what this sweater was inspired by, but it’s still really cool. The sweater is also comfortable, light-weight, and something you can throw on when you’re running late, or just don’t feel like dressing up, but still want to look cute.
Heart Printed Leggings from Wet Seal: I liked these leggings because they’re covered with white hearts that add a girly vibe to this casual outfit without any extra effort needed. The leggings are also comfortable, and perfect for school, hanging out with friends, or a date with a pizza and Netflix (just remember, pizza and Netflix is the solution to all life’s problems).
White Sneakers from Converse: Ok, I know that there’s that rule about not wearing white after Labor Day, but rules were made to be broken right?!? Right. Personally I love wearing converse sneakers because they’re cute and casual, which makes them the perfect shoe for anyone who doesn’t want sore feet.
‘Dover Street Saffiano Leather Bucket Bag’ from Kenneth Cole: As soon as I saw this bag, I fell in love with it because it’s easy to carry on all of your daily tasks, and it has enough room for you to take your entire life (aka your phone) anywhere you go. What’s really great about this bag is that it’s casual enough for school/work, but functional and fashionable enough for meetings and after school/work activities.
Mini Lace Bow Hair Clip Blue from Claire’s: Lastly, we have the perfect finishing touch for any casual look. If you’re running late or just don’t feel like putting any effort into your look, then you can put your hair into a ponytail or half-up half down look, and add this power clip as the perfect finishing touch. Don’t you love it when fashion is practical and cute!
While I hope y’all enjoyed the looks! Remember that if it’s colder where you live then you can always add a cardigan or jacket, and if it’s hotter, you can substitute shorts or tank tops/short sleeved shirts. Have a fun fall people of the internet!!!
